Three Photos for 365

Euros, brought back from France.

Day One: Experimenting with light shining on the bottom of an apple.

Day Four: My kitten and frequent model.

I was featured at Utah Loves Cupcakes! Very exciting and very worth following, even if you aren't in Utah. There you can find recipes and pictures and it's all very pretty!

Elizabeth's Bakery and Tea House

They have a huge collection of tea pots, lined up on shelves all over the shop. Half the fun is staring at them.
The bakery is in a historic building from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Leaving a patch of the original wallpaper after renovation is said to be good luck.

It's common to see the chefs out talking to patrons. They get to know what your favorites are, they're all very warm and friendly and genuinely interested in their customers.

Scenes from a castle wedding

The lighting was pretty dim ("mood" lighting I suppose they call it) so these were all shot at 1600 ISO. That means fast shutter speed, lower quality images.

On the bright side, it forced me to experiment with subdued colors in the final versions of the photographs.

I took these while playing around with my camera settings. These are two of three photos that worked out. That's out of about a hundred. Oh, experimentation, such a frustrating phase of learning photography.

Zebra Pen

This one is old but hopefully I'll have new pictures to post this weekend.
